Yard Leader

Job Duties
To assist the Yard Manager with directing and coordinating the yard, warehouse and/or delivery functions to insure quality customer service and efficient utilization of resources.

Coordinates shipments in and out of yard/warehouse and inspects for specified quality and quantity.
Directs workers and assists in loading, unloading and delivery of materials and in use and care of machines and equipment.
Directs movement of shipments from branch to destination.
May assist customer with loading, delivery status information, inventory available and related problems.
Supervises yard operations on the weekends.
May assist with ensuring, presenting, and enforcing safety program compliance, driver training and accident orientation.
Performs receiving tasks.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Must have proven customer service skills and good interpersonal skills, forklift operation and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads, up to 80 pounds. CDL preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to work weekends.
